We're great fans of the Old Fashioned here, albeit with a gin or vodka twist.
Simple to make, but offering a touch of sophistication, the Old Fashioned can be traced back to the early 1800s .
Now, our Barrel-Aged Gin is not that old (!), but the maturing process in Port casks definitely gives it depth and warmth, making it a bonafide and complimentary replacement for traditional bourbon.
Recipe for our Barrel-Aged Gin Old Fashioned below.
Ingredients:
- 45ml Barrel Aged Gin
- 30ml Simple Syrup
- Orange Peel
- 3 Dash Bitters
Method:
1. In an old fashioned glass filled with ice add the gin and simple syrup.
2. Stir for 15 seconds and run orange peel around the rim of the glass.
3. Add orange peel and bitters in the glass and give a final stir .
