Gin Martini

This is our recipe for a delicious Gin Martini. Whether it be Bond shaken in a cocktail mixer or simply stirred in a martini glass, this simple cocktail is delicious and classy.

Ingredients:

Serves: 1

  • 45ml Newy Distillery Signature Gin
  • 2 ice cubes
  • 15ml dry vermouth 
  • 2 basil leaves
  • couple olives on a toothpick for garnish and to eat when done

Method:

Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker then shake or stir (shake if you would like more of the basil flavour) then strain into a chilled martini glass and add the olives.

Flavour Tips:

The basil leaves add a layer of warmth to the drink making it an idea cold night drink.

To make it more of a refreshing summer day time drink substitute the basil for mint. If the drink is too strong for you (vermouth can be strong for some) then add some sugar syrup or a teaspoon of sugar to make it a bit more sweet.
