This is the other side of Newy Distillery. While our shimmer vodkas and flavoured gins are built for colour, parties and fun, our premium range is built for sitting down, slowing down and savouring something special.

These are small-batch, limited-release spirits that take time — months of barrel aging, meticulous taste testing, and the kind of patience that doesn't come naturally to a distillery known for bold flavours and bright bottles. The result is a collection of dark spirits with genuine depth, crafted in Newcastle and built to stand alongside anything on the top shelf.

Port Barrel Aged Gin Our award-winning Signature Dry Gin, selected for its complex 16-botanical profile, then aged in port barrels for months until it develops something entirely new. The port casks transform the gin into a rich, full-bodied spirit with a deep amber colour, thick velvety mouthfeel and warm oaky overtones. The finish is slightly sweet and honey-like, with the gin's aromatic botanicals still lingering underneath. Bronze Medal winner at the 2022 Royal Australian Spirits Awards. A gin that whisky lovers will appreciate, and a whisky alternative that gin drinkers will love. 500ml, 40% ABV, $114.

Single Malt Whisky — 4 Year Aged A collaboration between Newy Distillery and Loaded Barrel, bringing together their whisky distilling and aging expertise with our trusted approach to crafting flavour. This single malt is distilled in a custom-made copper pot still and aged for four years in custom toasted and charred virgin oak barrels. It opens with sweet vanilla and toffee, moves into warm toasted oak through the mid-palate, and finishes with a subtle spice. Smooth, rich and layered. 500ml, 43% ABV, $199.

Why These Are Limited Barrel aging takes time and barrel space — both of which are finite. Each batch is small by nature, and once a release is gone, it's gone until the next batch is ready. If you see it in stock, that's your window.
